Wait And See

The Goal/Lesson Learned:

Have you ever had the thought of going back in time and talking to your younger self?

I sure have. I want you to know this... The things you may have gone through or are even going through now can make you stronger and can shape you into the person you are meant to be. Truth is, life isn’t always fair. With this said, it’s how you and I choose to handle the difficult things in life. The choices we have are to either stay in a rut or let God use this moment for his glory. One day, it will make a powerful difference in your life and somewhere along the way, in someone else’s life too. It is always hard to see clearly when life is crazy. Just know, no matter how you feel or what you see… God sees and hears you. He cares. Just invite Him into your unknown and watch what he does for you.

Why I wrote this song:

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and talk to young Brooke. If I could, I would tell her about what she would have to go through. I would tell her that even though life doesn’t seem fair, that I see her and understand the hurt and pain she experienced. I would say that one day she will see that all of this will be worth it. To just wait and see what God will do.

You know, the younger me went through things that I shouldn’t have been through, and I hid it so well. No one would’ve ever guessed the things I had to go through. Because of that, I always felt “different” inside when I was growing up. I’m so thankful to have grown up in a christian home. God has placed people in my life to steer me in the right direction. Being involved in church, I was able to see and understand the love of Jesus. Serving others and leading worship for 10+ years gave me hope for a future that would be better.

Here I am now, able to share my heart with you and the whole world. Your

part is to trust God through it and just wait and see.

Prayer:

Hey God,

I know you know the future and I don’t have to worry about it. Help me to fully trust the path you lead and guide me on because I really do want to be glorify your name and be available whenever you ask me to share my life story to others. Thank you God for never ever disappointing me.

Interaction:

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. -Romans 5:3-5

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. -James 1:2-4

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

-what are you going through right now that is hard for you? How can you change your perspective/thoughts to make it easier on yourself? -John 16:33

1. Was there ever a time in your life when you just wanted to give up?

-What made you keep on going?

2. How did you grow from that experience?

3. Do you find it challenging to wait for something? I challenge you right now to dig a little deeper and ask yourself why that might be.
